SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in optical wireless communication system through air medium. Optical communication system comprises spaced apart in space directional radiation source, radiation detector, radiation encoding device, signal receiver decoding device, wherein source and receiver are located at crossing optical axes, wherein zone of intersection of optical axes is conjugated with external reflective or light-diffusing object. Radiation source is laser with wavelength selected in range of 220-280 nm.
EFFECT: providing off-road communication.
