FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of improving selectivity of ethylene epoxidation method using highly selective epoxidation catalyst based on silver. Method is realised in a reactor with multiple pipes filled with catalyst. Catalyst layer is contacted with raw material for a period of time (T1). Raw material contains ethylene and oxygen, organic chloride. Amount of organic chloride added to raw material is then reduced, and catalyst is treated by adding a co-regulator to material in an amount of 0.1-0.4 wt% with respect to raw material. Separation of chloride is carried out for 2-72 hours (T2). After separation of chloride amount of organic chloride added in raw material is increased, and added amount of saturated hydrocarbon co-regulator is reduced.
EFFECT: technical result is increased selectivity of catalyst.
