FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to polyurethane dispersion based on natural oil, which is a high-molecular weight anionic polyurethane/urea water-based polymer, which essentially does not contain volatile organic substances and/or leaching contaminants is unplasticized and biodegradable inherently in environment. Described is a polyurethane dispersion based on natural oil produced by: a) forming a water-dispersible polyurethane prepolymer with terminal NCO group, mainly consisting of a reaction product: i) polyol component, mainly consisting of a mixture of ester based on natural oil and hydrophobic/hydrophilic oligomeric diols, which is obtained using natural oil, without use alcoholysis/esterification system for production of polyol and polyols containing suitable carboxyl groups; and ii) stoichiometric excess of aromatic polyisocyanate component; b) neutralising prepolymer with help of suitable neutralising agents; c) dispersing prepolymer in solvent-free water according to method; and d) reaction prepolymer with appropriate extender chains; wherein said prepolymer is formed at temperature lower than 100 °C.
EFFECT: obtaining a polyurethane dispersion which is biodegradable, widely applicable in industry owing to excellent properties/characteristics thereof, including for production of biodegradable materials and packaging materials, suitable for direct contact with food products and goods for prolonged use.
