FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy of nonferrous metals. Method for processing sulphide nickel raw includes burning charge containing nickel sulphide raw material and sodium chloride at temperatures of 350 to 400 °C with access of oxygen during 1.5 to 2 hours and leaching obtained ash with water at temperature up to 100 °C. Charge is prepared from mixture of nickel sulfide raw, sulphide copper concentrate, and sodium chloride with weight ratio of mixture of nickel sulphide raw and sulphide copper concentrate to sodium chloride as 1 : 0.5-2.0 and weight ratio Cu/Ni in charge exceeding 3. Leaching is carried out with conversion of water-soluble compounds of nickel and copper into solution.
EFFECT: providing maximum full conversion of nickel in water-soluble form for leaching with water, as well as reduction of sulphur dioxide release into atmosphere.
