FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an apparatus for generating steam comprising a water heating chamber in which water is heated to generate steam. Apparatus also includes a cavity having an inlet communicating with water heating chamber so that water in water heating chamber is received in cavity and a sealable outlet. Cavity is configured to limit flow of convection currents in water received in cavity so that scales and/or solid particles suspended in water accumulate in cavity. Alternatively, a guide member is disposed at inlet to cavity which is configured to guide scales and/or solid particles suspended in water into cavity.
EFFECT: generation of steam.
