FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for underwater detecting presence of one or more bubbles. Invention consists in fact that apparatus for underwater detecting presence of one or more bubbles in aqueous medium contains first structure with lower outer edge to set area, within which device has one or more possibilities to collect bubbles, second structure for spatial concentration in area of detection of one or more bubbles, received within specified lower outer edge, and detection unit for detecting of one or more bubbles, concentrated at operation of device by means of structure to ensure concentration of bubbles passing in detection zone, and to generate output signal indicating passage of one or more bubbles through detection zone. Device optionally is installed on remotely controlled water vehicle (ROV). Device is preferentially used for investigation of one or more sources of bubbles in aqueous media, for example leakages during exploration and/or oil production, damaged electric underwater cables, leaks in marine gas lines, etc.

EFFECT: technical result is reliable detection of bubbles in presence of interfering particles in aqueous medium.
