FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and surgery. In treating patients suffering cicatrical strictures of bile ducts and cholangio-jejunal fistulas, standard transcutaneous, transhepatic approach under x-ray control is performed. Length of stricture is determined by means of antegrade cholangiography. Along Lunderkvist's guide, balloon of 10 mm in diameter and 40 mm longer than length of structure is installed at centre of stricture. By means of high pressure injector, pressure from 4 atm to 10-12 atm is created in balloon, stepwise with 2 atm increments and 5 minute exposure time. After reaching specified pressure, through 15 minutes balloon is removed. Dawson-Muller's drainage is installed above stricture, wherethrough control cholangiography is performed 3 days later. Then drainage is removed.
EFFECT: method provides reduced intraoperative injures due to gradual, stepwise mechanical dilation of cicatrical stricture using balloon, in cicatrical zone of terminal portion stricture of choledoch through minimum skin incision of anterior abdominal wall.
