SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to means of identification of respiratory signals in context of computed tomography. Method for identification of motion phases from irregular cyclic motion signal comprises steps of receiving a motion signal from a motion monitor, having a plurality of cycles, and a line, which establishes correspondence of motion phase to motion signal on base and amplitude and inclination of motion signal. System for identifying motion phase comprises a motion phase correlator, which includes one or more processors configured to identify a set of time markers of motion signal for a plurality of motion cycles in a motion signal, indicating cyclic movement of moving object from motion monitor on basis of previously determined motion phase of interest and establishing correspondence of phase with amplitude/inclination, wherein set of time markers of motion signal correspond to total signal amplitude.

EFFECT: using inventions provides more accurate identification data.
