FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: in a lighting device, primary control unit (103) and group of light units (107) are arranged in a power supply chain, each light unit (107) of said group being arranged for receiving commands from primary control unit (103) via light unit interface (117) of light unit (107), wherein each succeeding unit (103; 107) of chain has power input (145) which is connected to switchable power output (147) of respective preceding unit (103; 107), each preceding unit (103; 107) being arranged to supply power at power output (147) only after initialising an address identification of unit, and each succeeding unit (103; 107) being arranged to initialise an address identification of unit upon being supplied with power at power input (145).
EFFECT: technical result is simple initialisation of address units in lighting device.
