FIELD: radio.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to subsurface radar using ultra-wideband signals, specifically to devices for determining location and shape of inhomogeneities and inclusions in building structures and facilities and can be used in following areas: counterintelligence operations for detecting eavesdropping devices; investigation law enforcement; probing building structures in order to determine position of valves, cavities and other non-uniformities; probing of very important building structures (runways, aerodromes, launching sites for rocket launcher, bridges, transitions, metro tunnels, stadiums, pools, etc) in order to detect hidden defects in them; probing debris and destruction after earthquakes, terrorist explosions and explosions gas during search and rescue operations in order to detect people alive under rubble for rapid rescue. Apparatus for probing building structures comprises a portable computer 1, surface 2 of building structure, electronic unit 3, antenna unit 4, high-frequency generator 5, controller 6, receiver 7, transmitting antenna 8, receiving antenna 9, object 10, flip-flop 11, delay lines 12 and 14, amplifier 13, subtractor unit 15, integrator 16, divider unit 17, comparator unit 18, reference voltage generating unit 19, analogue-to-digital converter 20, interface 21, switch 22, LCD display 23, audible indicator 24, switch 25, quadrature demodulator 26, preamplifiers 27 and 28, multiplexers 29 and 30, multichannel band-pass filters 31 and 32, demultiplexers 33 and 34, short-circuiting electronic switches 35 and 36, low-pass filters 37 and 38.

EFFECT: object of invention is to expand functionality of device by finding people alive under rubble arising from destruction of building structures and buildings after earthquakes and explosions.
