SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to toner cartridge for use in electrophotographic image forming apparatus. Disclosed toner cartridge for use in image forming apparatus comprises a housing having an upper side, bottom side, front and rear side, located between first lateral side and second lateral side of case; body determines toner storage tank, outlet port, communicated with tank and directed downwards at front side of housing near first lateral side, a gate arranged on outlet port and to displace between open position allowing toner come out from outlet port, and closed position, preventing output of toner from outlet port, toner feed system for transfer of toner of tank through outlet port, containing main gear interface to transmit rotation to toner feed system, a portion of main gears interface is naked on front side of housing near top of second lateral side and is configured to engage with mating drive gear of image forming device facing backwards hole located near first lateral side of housing to receive first interacting element in image forming apparatus for opening and closing gate, and facing forward slot located near first lateral side of housing to receive second interacting element for locking and unlocking of gate.

EFFECT: reduced premature replacement of components, as well as prevention of unwanted escape of toner cartridge through gate in cartridge having position control elements, which provide possibility of accurate positioning cartridge, at same time preventing insertion of cartridge in image forming device at different angles.
