FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gypsum boards with reduced weight and density. Method of gypsum panels making comprises following steps: manufacture of gypsum suspension containing unexpanded vermiculite particles dispersed therein with high coefficient of expansion, particles of vermiculite are capable of being expanded in middle to approximately 300% or more relative their initial volume after heating for approximately one hour at temperature of approximately 1560°C (approximately 850°C); gypsum suspension is placed between first and second facing leaf to produce structure containing hardened gypsum core layer with distributed around this layer of particles of vermiculite; cutting panel of preset sizes and drying of panel.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of heat-insulating properties, resistance to thermal shrinkage and fire resistance.
