FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gypsum boards with low density and weight. Gypsum board comprises hardened gypsum core layer located between two facing sheets formed from a suspension containing at least water, gypsum plaster and starch, starch contains from about 0.3 % to about 10 % by weight of mass of gypsum plaster, gypsum plaster is contained in an amount of about 700 pounds/thousand square feet (about 3.4 kg/m2), board has density of 27-34 pounds/feet3 (from 430-545 kg/m3), index of heat insulation of about 17 minutes, thickness of board is 0.625 inch (1.6 cm).
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of weight and density, improved heat-insulating properties, resistance to thermosetting, fire resistance, water resistance.
