FIELD: radio engineering and communications.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication engineering and can be used for receiving an extended physical downlink control channel (E-PDCCH) in wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU). Method of receiving E-PDCCH for module wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) identifying element expanded control channel (E-CCE) of expanded physical downlink control channel (E-PDCCH), antenna port identifier is determined, used for transfer of E-PDCCH, at least partially based on identifier (E)-CCE in E-PDCCH and decoded E-PDCCH at antenna port.

EFFECT: maintenance of complexity of decoding at reasonable level, which enable WTRU determine whether tries to decode the E-PDCCH.
