FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: method of increasing sensitivity of omnidirectional microphones involves reception of sound waves using a movable electrode of a microphone. Fixed electrode is made with property of transmitting sound waves from movable electrode with transmission coefficient of not less than 0.7, behind fixed electrode there is a sound absorbing base, and said base is fixed on a wavy surface of rigid plate with through holes. Intensity of sound wave reflected from rigid plate, reaching movable electrode of microphone, is not more than 0.15 from operating input intensity. Movable electrode of microphone is made in form of a membrane with a conducting layer, and microphone also comprises a contact metal ring, an insulating ring, a protective screen, a contact metal insert and an insulating insert. Conductive coating on a fixed electrode is made in form of a microchannel plate.
EFFECT: high sensitivity.
