FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to plasma engineering. Device based on the railgun is made in the form of a coaxial line CL, where the discharge occurring between the CL electrodes is used as a "piston". When connecting the device's CL to a capacitive battery, the discharge "piston" compresses and ejects at high pressure with a speed of at least 8⋅105 cm/s atmospheric gas through the outlet of the device at the end of the CL.
EFFECT: expansion of the device functional capabilities.
