FIELD: metallurgy; processing and recycling of wastes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in power engineering for coal combustion or gasification. Melting unit comprises smelting chamber with oxygen fuel burners, heater of charge materials by heat of smelting chamber exhaust gases, device for metal and slag separate tapping, device for charge materials heater gases heat recovery. Housing of melting chamber is made up of detachable cooled upper and, uncooled lower parts, housing detaching line is located at 200-400 mm higher than preset maximum level of liquid metal in metal bath. Detachable cooled top part of housing is made in form of two-wall metal shell with sealed cavity filled with liquid metal heat carrier. Lower uncooled part is lined with refractory lining and installed on support platform made with possibility of inclination.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at reduction of total thermal and electric energy consumption for production of commercial products, easier maintenance of unit by personnel.
