FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to semi-finished products from aluminium alloy made through vertical semi-continuous casting with direct cooling, which can be used for making structural elements for aerospace industry. Method of producing non-distorted semi-finished product from aluminium alloy, such as slab for rolling or blank for forming includes preparation of liquid metal bath from alloy containing, wt. %: Zn 0-12, Cu 0-6, Mg 0-6, Li 0-3, Ag 0-1, Si<0.5, Fe<0.5, optionally at least one of Cr, Zr, Mn, Hf, Ti, Sc, V, B with content < 0.5, the rest is aluminium, treatment of liquid metal bath with ultrasound in furnace and/or vessel by means of submersible device containing at least one source of ultrasound, at temperature of liquid metal equal to minimum 690 °C, transfer of treated liquid metal bath in crystallisation device within at least three minutes from the end of ultrasound treatment and semi-continuous vertical casting with direct cooling.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at reduction of micro pores with 90 mcm size in non-deformed semi-finished product from aluminium alloy.
