FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used in otorhinolaryngology, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, radiology. To determine parameters of frontal sinuses in tomogram, method includes manually applying three reference points - medial point between orbits and two points corresponding to most lateral edges of upper wall of orbits of soft tissues. Automatically drawing a circle through said points and build cylinder, base of which is drawn circle. Each section of cylinder built-rays from centre of circle to intersection with surface of cylinder is automatically fixed point of intersection of ray with boundary between regions of different density, values of which are displayed on surface of cylinder. Obtaining a two-dimensional projection of frontal sinuses on surface of cylinder. Image is transferred onto paper carrier and reference points are aligned on a paper carrier with reference points on frontal area of patient.

EFFECT: method enables at minimum costs, with no expensive equipment and necessity of training personnel, to produce accurate parametric projection of frontal sinus, containing required information on its depth or thickness of its walls, scheduling of surgical intervention is performed with minimal errors.
