SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine projections of anterior and lateral semicircular canals on human scalp. Navigation probe is used to record the surface of the scalp of the subject in the system. In the navigation window, the points of the projections of the anterior and lateral semicircular canals on the skull are identified and marked with a computer mouse cursor, thereafter, the points of projections of the anterior and lateral semicircular canals on the scalp are marked with the help of a registration probe by aligning the tip of the registration probe with a mouse cursor on the tomogram, and the points are marked with a marker. First point of the projection of the anterior semicircular canal on the skull is determined on an axial section passing transversely through the two most distant points of the anterior semicircular canal. Second point of the projection of the anterior semicircular canal on the skull is determined on an axial section passing transversely through the two most distant points of the anterior semicircular canal. Second point of the projection of the anterior semicircular canal on the skull is determined on a coronary section through the middle of the vestibule and the highest point of the anterior semicircular canal. On the axial section passing through the lateral semicircular canal, two points in the temporal regions and one point in the frontal region are marked on the skull.
EFFECT: method enables isolated determination of excitability of each of the semicircular canals by rotation by accurate determination of the projection of the plane of the anterior and lateral semicircular canals.
