FIELD: wood working industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hand-held devices for crosswise sawing of timber. Miter box contains horizontal platform (1) and two side walls (2) with vertical slit-like cutouts for execution of sawing. To horizontal platform bottom additional plate (5) is mounted. Blanks pressing assembly is composed of two vertical rods (8) attached at bottom to protruding parts of additional plate, and above is to crossbar (9). On ledges of additional plate there are holes for screws (14) attaching blanks pressing assembly rods to plate. To additional plate bottom shock-absorbers (7) are attached. To additional plate bottom hollow metal box (13) is fixed by means of screws (15). Upper part of clamp bolt (12) has possibility of jointing with detachable switch (29). Height of shock-absorbers is by 2-3 mm greater than that of hollow metal box.
EFFECT: simplified design of miter box.
