SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for driving gearbox shifting with locking inertia balance beam. Device (1) for driving switching comprises bearing (6) in which drive axle (2) can slide and turn, selector lever (3) able to cause the axle (2) to slide in relation to bearing (6), gear shift lever (4) able to cause the axle (2) to turn about its geometric axis, and inertial mass (7) articulated in rotation in relation to a pivot connection (10). Mass (7) is connected with gear shift lever (4) via link rod (13). Pivot connection (10) comprises pin of mass (7) inserted in a bore of bearing (6) or comprises a pin of bearing (6) inserted in a bore of mass (7). Mass (7) is retained axially in relation to axis of pivot connection (10) by one elastically deformable retaining lug (21) formed on bearing (6).
