FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: for reversing of ICE in preset direction of crankshaft rotation, the control system, with closed gas-distribution valve and when ICE piston is in the upper dead point area, supplies fuel to ICE combustion chamber and ignites its with the help of an ignition plug. For fuel supply use is made of independent from mechanical connection with ICE crankshaft system of fuel supply to ICE combustion chamber, for example, pneumatic one, hydraulic one, piezoelectric etc. After a stop and a change of piston movement for the opposite one, as a result of combustion products action and after combustion products expansion termination, the system of the gas distributor two-valve pneumatic drive ensures gas exchange in the internal combustion engine under the specified direction of rotation of the crankshaft. Gas distributor is made in the form of a gas distributing valve and connected by a stock inlet and outlet valves, while the pneumatic drive system is made to ensure its charging with atmospheric air.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of reverse system operation.
