SUBSTANCE: invention relates to firefighting equipment. Method for selective start of water curtains, including detection of fire, logic processing of information on state of sprinkler fire extinguishing plant sprinklers with monitoring of operation and automatic or remote start water curtain. At that, address of activated sprinkler is additionally determined with monitoring of operation with subsequent formation of control commands for selective start of corresponding to address sprinklers with forced start-up, which perform function of water curtain. At that, sprinklers with control over activation are located along internal perimeter of protected room opposite to gates and exit doors.

EFFECT: simplified algorithm of operation and selective start of water curtains of water curtains included into sprinkler fire-extinguishing installation.
