SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of fire-fighting equipment. The method of address start of water curtains comprising fire detection, logical processing of information about the state of sprinkler irrigators as a part of the fire-fighting sprinkler system with the control of activation, and automatic or remote start of one or several water curtains. At that determination of the Cartesian coordinates is additionally carried out of the first and subsequent activated sprinkler irrigators with the control of activation with subsequent determination of the direction of propagation of fire as a vector passing through the coordinates of the activated sprinklers of the first and subsequent triggered sprinklers. At that the control signal to address start of one or several water curtains comes to those of them which are only in the zone of direction of this vector. The group of inventions comprises a system of address start of water curtains.

EFFECT: enhanced efficacy of determining the direction of propagation of fire is provided.
