FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to processing of non-ferrous metallurgy solutions and can be used for industries, in which arsenic and selenium-containing solutions are present. Selenium and arsenic in the form of insoluble iron compounds are precipitated. Waste hydrochloric acid solution of iron is used as an iron-containing reagent, after its Fe+ 2 has been oxidised to Fe+3 by aeration, with the molar ratio Fe: (Se + As) = 2:1-3:1 and neutralisation by lime milk to establish 8.0-8.5 pH.
EFFECT: technical result: increase of efficiency of cleaning sulphate solutions from selenium to 98-99% and arsenic to 99%, which corresponds to residual content in the purified solution of selenium 0,03 g/dm3 and arsenic 0,028 g/dm3.
