FIELD: conversion equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to conversion equipment and can be used in powerful high-voltage softstarters. Technical result is achieved by the fact that the device comprises series-connected basic modules, each of which has a condenser group of variable capacity, herewith all condenser groups of variable capacity are interconnected in series, ends of the said chain are outputs of the device, then in each basic module two identical power circuits are formed for positive voltage polarity in the network line and for negative voltage polarity, each of which has at least an energy accumulator in the form of inductive load and a completely controlled switch for periodic alternate connection of capacitors of the condenser groups of variable capacity to one of the said power circuits, or to the other power circuit, one by one, depending on the network line voltage polarity.
EFFECT: technical result of the proposed invention is considerable increase of reliability with lower production costs.
