FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding systems. System comprises a welding power supply and at least one welding component, which are equipped with digital communication circuitry for synchronisation and coordination of tasks associated with welding operation. Tasks may be initiated and completed independently or with matching on basis of synchronisation. Some of tasks can be performed by welding system components in form of open cycle or in form of closed cycle based on feedback of welding parameters. Furthermore, some tasks can be independent from each other or interdependent and are concurrently executed by different system components.
EFFECT: high flexibility in control of welding operations and reduced delay in their implementation, which leads to improvement of quality of welding works.
