SUBSTANCE: invention relates to contact lenses for eyes, equipped with electronic display means. Ophthalmic lens comprises a mechanism for alerting a user about an event from a predetermined source smartphone, a receiver for receiving wirelessly event data from smartphone, electrically connected with alert mechanism via conductive paths, and soft biocompatible portion of lens, adapted to encapsulate alert mechanism and receiving device. Lens also comprises means for activating alert mechanism based on data about event from smartphone and means for deactivating alert mechanism.
EFFECT: technical result is ability to alert user about an event from smartphone by using an energised ophthalmic lens.
