METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF OPHTHALMOLOGICAL LENSES EQUIPPED WITH PASSIVE SYSTEM OF PAINTING BASED ON EVENTS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G02C7/04

Abstract RU 2642551 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises formation of an ophthalmic lens consisting of soft biocompatible material and encapsulation of a colouring mechanism based on events within the said lens. The colouring mechanism is capable of inducing a visual indication in the lens based on the occurrence of a predetermined event. Lens moulding comprises addition of a monomer reaction mixture to the front curved surface of the casting mould, to the rear curved surface of the mould, or both, placement of the rear curved surface of the casting mould adjacent to the front curved surface, curing of the monomer reaction mixture, shaping of the front and rear curved surfaces of the casting mould and lens extraction. The colouring mechanism further comprises a rigid insert.

EFFECT: ability to track the properties of the eye environment using passive colouring mechanisms based on events.
