Ophthalmic device comprises: an energy source; a microprocessor in communication with and energised by the energy source; and a micro-electromechanical transducer also energised by said energy source and in electrical communication with the microprocessor.
EFFECT: microprocessor is configured to convert electrical signals into mechanical vibrations for the micro-electromechanical transducer to provide an audible signal to a user of the ophthalmic device.
