FIELD: energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power industry and may be used for determining place of wire break on overhead transmission lines based on measuring emergency mode parameters from two ends of the line. Essence: at preliminary stage a full line model in three-phase mode is generated taking into account mutual inductive and capacitance couplings between the wires of lines. In case of broken wire, the values of complex phase voltages on buses and phase currents in the line are measured and recorded. Then the line model is divided into equal sections, for example, from one support to the other, and voltages in the end of each section in each phase are generated starting from the buses from one and another ends of the line, currents are generated in the end of each area in each phase, starting from buses with one and the other ends of the line, modules of currents in each section in each phase are recorded starting from the buses from one and the other ends of the line. Current curves with axles on both sides of dependence of modules of currents from the number of the section (from distance). Point of intersection of curves with one and the other ends of the line corresponds to the break point.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of labour intensity and high accuracy when determining the point of break due to more complete consideration of line parameters.
