FIELD: test technique.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing of devices for tightness and can be used for detecting leakage from centrifugal device hollow rotor shell. Summary: rotor is accelerated up to working RPMs. Predetermined portion of gas is fed into inner cavity of rotor. Presence of leakage from rotor shell is determined upon reduction of rotor rotation frequency or by exceeding of predetermined parameter reference value, describing normal power consumption for accelerating and braking of gas inside defect-free rotor cavity.
EFFECT: simple detection of leakage from centrifugal device hollow rotor shell.
