FIELD: test equipment.
SUBSTANCE: in tightness control, item is arranged in closed envelope for its cavity to be filled with control substance to preset pressure and held for preset time. Response of leak detector to said control substance is revealed and tightness is defined by comparing leak detector with reference concentration of control substance. Note here that item mock-up placed in said envelope is used that completely simulates controlled item not filled with control substance and held in said envelope for time interval equal to that of holding the item. Leak detector response to background content of control substance and material gas release in additional closed envelope are defined, while item leakage is defined from the formula specified in invention claim.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and validity of tightness control.
