FIELD: motor industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle equipment, which enables to determine the weight of individuals sitting on a vehicle seat. Onboard system for weighing individuals in a vehicle includes a weighing device, weight moderator installed on a vertical platform, pressure switch and a computing and control device connected to the weighing device. Weighing device is installed in the vehicle seat and equipped with a source of output signal proportional to the weight of an individual sitting on a vehicle seat. Pressure switch is connected to computing and control device and equipped with a source of the output signal. Weighing method involves placing an individual on the vehicle seat, horizontal effect on the weight moderator of those parts of body which do not rest on the seat, pressing the switch with a signal sent to the computing and control device for beginning storing of weighing data and data processing of measurement in the computing and control device.

EFFECT: preventing excessive weight and obesity.
