FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary science and is intended for blood sampling from chinchillas. Chinchilla is fixed prone with thrown back head. Neck skin folds are pulled onto the hindhead. Hair is removed in the area of the beginning of the chest. External jugular vein puncture is washed with heparin solution using 26-27G needle. Needle is inserted in the ear base direction at the angle of 30-45 degrees, and the animal's pads are moved aside from the specialist performing the puncture.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain maximum quantity of blood with minimum traumatic effect.
