TRANSPARENT PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLS Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC H01L51/42

Abstract RU 2593915 C2

FIELD: nanotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a transparent photovoltaic cell comprising a transparent substrate and first transparent active material arranged above substrate. First active material has absorption peak at wavelength greater than approximately 650 nm. Second transparent active material is located above substrate and has an absorption peak at wavelength between 300 and 450 nm or between 650 and 2,500 nm, in which absorption of second transparent active material is more than absorption of second transparent active material at any wavelength between about 450 and 650 nm. Photovoltaic cell also comprises a transparent cathode and a transparent anode. Transparent photovoltaic cell has at least one absorption peak at wavelength greater than approximately 650 nm, in which absorption of transparent photovoltaic cell is more than at any wavelength between about 450 and 650 nm.

EFFECT: invention provides higher efficiency and transparency.
