FIELD: physics; nuclear physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear power engineering and can be used mainly for transshipment in nuclear reactors with liquid metal coolant. Load gripper for fuel assembly and core products comprises a gripper and a carriage configured to move in a guide tube of unloading and loading machine. Gripper consists of a bearing tube with a conical support and collet with movable support installed in carriage on thrust bearings. To allow control of gripping device, a carriage and "pushing" (control and bearing) chains are used.
EFFECT: simplified design of gripping device used in case of overload in a nuclear reactor with liquid metal coolant, and reducing its dimensions and high reliability of operation; broader operating capabilities of load gripper.
