SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a node for fastening a fuel assembly of a nuclear reactor. The attachment unit contains a fuel assembly shank (1), made in the form of a tip, fixed in the bushing (7) of the landing hole (5) of the lower base plate (2) of the core. The shank (1) is equipped with an external shoulder (3) with a rounded end (4), the sleeve (7) is split. Moreover, the contacting surfaces of the lower end (13) of the sleeve (7) and the outer flange (4) of the shank (1) are made in the form of chamfers located at an angle (32-40)° relative to the plane of the base plate (2).

EFFECT: ensuring reliable fixation of the fuel assembly in the base plate (2) under conditions of prolonged exposure to the liquid metal coolant.
