FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing block-cellular filter-sorbents used in adsorption processes. Method comprises applying on a ceramic block-cellular matrix by means of multiple impregnation with active composition with further heat treatment. Active composition used is a suspension with solid to liquid phase ratio 40÷50/60÷50, wherein solid phase used is a mixture of kaolin with zeolite with ratio of 20÷30/80÷70, liquid phase used is distilled water. After application of active composition on ceramic block-cellular matrix, method includes heat treatment at temperature of 550÷650°C for at least 3 hours with subsequent treatment of obtained product with 4.5÷6.0 M sodium hydroxide solution, washing with distilled water to filtrate pH = 9÷10 and secondary heat treatment at temperature 450÷600°C for not less than 3 hours. Preferably alkaline treatment carried out at following conditions: exposure at temperature 40÷60 °C for 2÷4 hours and further exposure at a temperature of 80÷100 °C for 3÷20 hours.
EFFECT: method increases specific surface area of applied layer of sorbent to 660 m2/g and high sorption capacity of filter-sorbent in dynamic conditions.
