FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing liquid radioactive wastes (LRW). Device for processing LRW has a unit for their neutralization connected to the collecting tank, a steam generator, a cylindrical rotary-film evaporator with a jacket and with socket pieces for inlet of LRW, concentrate and secondary steam discharge, a rotor with blades attached along its whole length distributing LRW on the heated surface of the evaporator as a thin film, primary steam condensate drainage line, a separator and a condenser. Herewith the evaporator is made with the ratio of inner diameter of the heated part and its height equal to 1:(20-26), and concentrate and secondary steam discharge socket piece is located in the lower part of the evaporator. In order to perform initial release of air at the plant start the primary steam condensate drainage line is equipped with an air receiver with a wall-attached contact thermometer to check the presence of air in the primary steam supply line.
EFFECT: technical result is the possibility of processing LRW containing nuclear fissile material of high concentration of uranium-235 and surfactants, intensification of the evaporation process.
