FIELD: geophysics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to exploration geophysics and is aimed at evaluation of potential saturation of hydrocarbon reservoirs. Method includes following steps: a) obtaining mCSEM survey data of subsurface region of interest, b) performing inversion of obtained mCSEM data, c) determination of location of anomalies in mCSEM data inversion, d) subtraction trend background specific resistance of mCSEM data inversion of trend resistivity mCSEM data inversion in anomalies, e) assessment of transverse resistance associated with abnormal, f) estimating distribution of average saturation collector corresponding to resistance, using a stochastic petrophysical models and simulation Monte Carlo method, binding parameters of collector with transverse resistance, and g) integration of obtained distribution of saturation, weighted potential distribution of transverse resistances to obtain final assessment probability saturation with fluid.

EFFECT: technical result is improved accuracy.
