FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics. Core: the system of electric and magnetic field sensors for measuring magnetotelluric field of the Earth consists of two pairs of buried electrodes with integral base L. One pair of the electrodes is placed in the near-surface layer of the ground, while the other pair of the electrodes is located in the same plane with the first pair, but at depth h. Herewith the first pair potential corresponding to the electric field intensity is subtracted from the buried pair potential to match the magnetic field intensity.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of measuring the magnetotelluric field.
