FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and can be used for the Earth's offshore shelf magnetotelluric field measurement. For this, the system of electric field sensors is made in the form of a pair of electrode-anchors spaced by a distance L, from which the potential of the electric field is taken by the electric field sensor isolated wires, drawn by the twisted pair to the surface of the hardware unit, and the magnetic field sensor, wherein the latter is formed by a magnetic field sensor isolated wire routed along the electric field sensor horizontal wire, then through the medium thickness to the hardware unit, as a mechanical basis necessary for the system immersion anchors are also used, relative to which the wire from both anchors is brought to the surface to the hardware unit, forming a frame with area S. Using this system of sensors, the magnetotelluric field strength values can be determined at practically in one point, thereby increasing the Earth's offshore shelf magnetotelluric field measuring accuracy. Invention relates to radio engineering and geophysics and is aimed at improving the system of sensors for magnetotelluric sounding (MTS), as well as adapting sensors for use in the marine environment. System of sensors performs reception of the magnetotelluric field components necessary for further processing in order to predict the presence of minerals below the Earth's surface.
