FIELD: deratization.
SUBSTANCE: device for catching rodents comprises a base with hinged spring-loaded frame, a trigger and two L-shaped elements. L-shaped elements are installed on the base. Their upper flanges are directed towards the side opposite to the trigger attachment zone. In the operating condition all parts except the spring are arranged approximately symmetrically relative to the vertical plane of symmetry of the base directed along the base length. Trigger is hinged on a shaped part. Shaped part is hinged on the base. Rotation axis of the shaped part is parallel to the axis of rotation of the spring-loaded frame. Trigger axis of rotation in the operating condition is raised above the axis of rotation of the shaped part. These axes are located so that are placed approximately in the same vertical plane. In the operating condition the end part of the trigger rod is bent upward and envelopes the shaped part, thus providing hinged attachment of the trigger to the shaped part. Dimensions of parts and zones of their installation are selected so that in the operating condition the spring-loaded frame bar is adjacent to the shaped part near the area of the spring-loaded frame effect on the trigger. In this zone the trigger has a section directed at an acute angle to the base when moving along the trigger towards the bait location zone. L-shaped elements are located next to each other with a gap. Gap between vertical posts of the L-shaped elements provides free passage of the end part of the trigger. Bait is placed between the end part of the trigger and the upper flanges of the L-shaped elements.
EFFECT: easier process of handling the trap; reduced force acting on the bait; bait tension force is replaced with a force close to compression.
