FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for catching small rodents, particularly mice and rats. The device comprises a base, a spring-loaded frame, a trigger, and a fixing L-shaped element. The upper shelf of the L-shaped element is directed along the line parallel to the axis of rotation of the spring-loaded frame. The L-shaped element is pivotally mounted on the base. The axis of rotation of the L-shaped element is parallel to the axis of rotation of the spring-loaded frame. The trigger consists of two pivotally connected parts. The sections of parts of the trigger are bent so that in operative condition a cavity is formed at the upper edge of the trigger at the area of the pivot connection. The upper shelf of the L-shaped element rests on this cavity in operative condition. When the upper shelf of the L-shaped element is located above this cavity, the rack of the L-shaped element is located along the straight line which is close to the vertical straight line. In the inoperative condition the rack of the L-shaped element can freely deviate from the vertical within a certain angle.
EFFECT: increased usability is achieved when handling the unit.
