FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for catching of small rodents, such as mice and rats. Trap comprises base with hingedly fixed spring-loaded frame and trigger, and also with bait holder fixed on it and made of vertical stand and L-shaped element. Between upper half of L-shaped element and stand there is a gap, providing for free motion of trigger for its engagement to L-shaped element, upper shelf of which is bent upwards. L-shaped element is arranged so that it adjoins vertical plane, which is arranged so that axis of hinged fixation of frame is parallel to this plane. Axis and L-shaped element are arranged along one side from this plane of adjacency, and vertical stand is installed perpendicularly to this plane of adjacency. Vertical stand and trigger in working conditions have sections of approximately identical length, which protrude beyond plane of adjacency of L-shaped element. Length of these sections is sufficient to arrange bait between trigger and stand and equals approximately 5…15 mm.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of trap operation.
