FIELD: psychology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used when solving various narrowly-specialised application tasks. Use is made of implicit associations test. Reaction speed difference is measured by pressing on one of two computer keyboard keys under various combinations of exhibited in the centre of the display two subgroups of stimuli objects, symbolising objects of two competing in meaning emotional attitudes, with two emotionally-polar subgroups of words-attributes. First subgroup of stimuli objects is formed of words and/or images, symbolising the first studied object of emotional attitude, and the second subgroup of stimuli objects is formed of words and/or images, symbolising alternative motivational tendencies in relation to the first one. In the first subgroup of words-attributes there are words with positive emotional valency, in the second subgroup of words-attributes there are words with a negative emotional valency. At that, presentation of stimuli objects alternates with presentation of words-attributes, while stimuli objects are presented on a dark background by white colour or black and white images, and words-attributes are presented on a dark background by green colour. Examination is preceded by a general instruction to explain to the testee the content of all subgroups of stimuli and keyboard buttons, while each pilot series is preceded by a specifying instruction, dictating actions of the testee and containing rules of every stimuli subgroup binding to corresponding buttons in the given experimental series. During every main experimental series there is investigated an emotional attitude only to one object, while to the study of the emotional attitude to one object there is dedicated a group of two main experimental series. In one main experimental series of the group there is investigated a positive component of the attitude, in the other main experimental series of the group there is investigated a negative component of the attitude to this object. If in one main experimental series of the group, with the help of a specifying instruction and tips at the top of the screen, the object of emotional attitude is bound to the button to which there is bound a positive pole of valency of words-attributes, and the testee shall press it both when observing in the centre of the screen of stimuli-objects, symbolising this object of emotional attitude, and words-attributes with positive valency, and when observing words-attributes with negative valency the testee shall press the opposite button. In the other main experimental series of the group the same object of emotional attitude is bound to the button associated with the negative pole of the valency of words-attributes, and the testee shall press it both when observing in the centre of the screen stimuli-objects, symbolising this object of emotional attitude, and when observing words-attributes with negative valency. When observing words-attributes with positive valency the testee shall press the opposite button.
EFFECT: method allows to measure attitude to interesting objects both in comparison and independently from each other to determine emotional attitude to every interesting object of attitude separately due to usage of a certain principle during conductance of implicit associations test.
