FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to psychology, pedagogy, medicine and physiology and can be used for quick and accurate assessment of the psycho-emotional state, deficit calculation, attentional capacity and attention level of a person. Person under test is provided, with increasing contrast, with a set of stimuli from geometric figures consisting of a triangle, a square and a circle and combinations thereof, by means of a monitor located in front of the person under test. Wherein the person under test receives a positive stimulus for recognition – a triangle, a square or a circle. When a set of stimuli is presented, the person under test presses "YES" button or "NO" button on the panel for a positive or negative response to the stimuli presented, respectively. Wherein the number of errors, average reaction time, minimum reaction time and maximum reaction time, according ti which the attention deficit is calculated using a mathematical formula, are estimated.

EFFECT: method provides accurate and objective deficit calculation, preservation and quality of human attention by mathematical processing of the test results when a stimulus material is presented, taking into account the allowed number of errors, average reaction time, minimum and maximum reaction time.
