FIELD: psychophysiology.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to psychology and can be used to obtain objective data on an individual's emotional state and on the dynamics of his emotional state. Method for determining intensity of transition from one emotional state to another comprises selecting two reference points of the face, fixing in the projection on the two-dimensional plane of the trajectory of movement of the first reference point a1(x,y) and fixing in projection on two-dimensional plane of movement trajectory of second reference point a2(x,y), fixation of occurrence of displacement accelerations, which are proportional to second derivatives of these trajectories a1(x,y)", a2(x,y)", and by the square of the difference of the second derivatives of these trajectories J = [a1(x,y)"-a2(x,y)"]2, where J is an indicator of intensity of the process of transition from one emotional state to another, judging on the presence and intensity of the process of transitioning from one emotional state to another.

EFFECT: use of the invention widens the scope of application of the method by enabling fixation of the transition from one emotional state to the other, as well as speed (intensity) of the transition.
